Over the past six months, since my last blog entry, I have completed my MA in Gender, Media & Culture, wrapping up my research in Selfies and Snapchats for now. However, I am heading to Cyprus next month to present some research at The International Conference of Photography and Theory so hopefully it's not the end of this field of study for me.
I also relocated back home to Dublin and started a brand new job as a graphic designer with Gorta-Self Help Africa and have been happily working away on various projects all Summer and Autumn long. Part of my job includes travel to Africa for photography and videography and last month I was lucky enough to spend a week in Burkina Faso, West Africa. Photos from the trip coming soon.
Finally, to summise, I've been really enjoying volunteering for digital arts magazine Tribe. Next week we're launching a brand new magazine and I'm excited to say it's going to incorpoate a more user-friendly and modern design than ever before.
